How Much Do Dental Implants Cost in Rockville, MD?
There are a number of questions our patients ask us when it comes to dental implants. Naturally, cost is at the top of the list, but there are many other concerns about how the process works and the results they can expect. Below, you’ll find some of the answers to the most common questions people have about the cost of dental implants and the process of getting them.
How much do dental implants cost in Rockville, MD?
The cost of dental implants in Rockville, MD depends on a number of factors, but the most important is: what type of dental implant procedure is being performed?
For a single-tooth dental implant, you can expect to pay between $1700 to $2500. This is just for the implant placement and does not include the tooth on top of the implant. An Oral Surgeon such as myself, will typically prepare the foundation(Implant) for your restorative dentist to then place a tooth (Crown) on top of the implant. An implant-supported bridge as the name implies is two or more implants that support three or more teeth. This can range from $5000 to $15,000, depending on the number of implants being replaced. Implant-supported dentures can vary from $2800 for mini implants (Four) to $5,000.(Two regular implants). The reason for the range is based on if you have dental insurance or you are a fee for a service client. We do participate with a few insurance companies that do dictate how much we can charge for dental implants. If you need supplemental procedures like a sinus lift or bone grafting before dental implant placement, you can expect total costs to be even higher. We also perform teeth in a day and this is typically 25K for a lower arch and $30K for the upper arch. This cost includes everything from A-Z. Consultations, 3D Scans, 3D planning, Surgical guides, Surgery to include removal of any teeth and placement of implants via the surgical guides. Cost also includes, temporary implant supported fixed bridge delivered the same day and all follow up appointments and a final Hybrid bridge supported by a custom titanium framework or a Zirconia bridge.
Some dental insurance plans cover a portion of the expense involved in getting dental implant restoration; FSA and HSA funds can be used towards the costs of implants, and there are other options available to help make dental implants more affordable. Dental savings plans, for example, offer you discounts on dental procedures when you pay a small monthly membership fee.
Are dental implants worth it?
Yes, our patients are overwhelmingly thrilled with the results of their dental implant procedures. Whether they’re replacing one tooth or an entire arch of missing teeth, dental implants can help restore confidence and quality of life. Dental implants are the only option for replacing missing teeth that looks, feels, and functions just like a natural tooth. One can expect almost 90% of function back as compared to something removable which rests on the gum and is not a stable foundation with less than 30% function.
How long do dental implants last?
Dental implants are designed to permanently replace the roots of missing teeth and last a lifetime. While the restoration attached to your dental implant may require replacement at some point, the dental implant itself should not, assuming that you continue to practice good oral hygiene, follow our aftercare instructions, and go to the dentist every six months for exams and dental cleanings.
Can dental implants be done in one day?
Dr. Sreeni is one of the pioneers in providing dental implants in a single day. While this procedure is not a fit for every patient, many can benefit from it. Not only is it more convenient and cost-effective, it’s also ideal for patients who are anxious and prefer one visit vs. multiple procedures. This also allows one to have a restoration in 4 months vs. starting the implant process after 4 months, thereby being toothless for almost 9 months.
